This was my first project merging my love of art and spoken poetry. I animated a poem I wrote about returning a dying star to the cosmos. To bring this idea to life, I worked with both the physical and digital: sand on a lightbox and textured digital brushes. I also utilized rotoscoping and frame-by-frame animation. I storyboarded and conceptualized this piece based on star-gazing: the idea that we are made of stars ourselves, and seeing ourselves reflected in the sky!
